Our tips
The best places to try...
Food and Drink
- Fish to buy: Cabioch et fils, Place du marché Fouesnant (every day)
- Les viviers de Penfoulich, Foret-Fouesnant: Order a seafood platter or enjoy it directly by the water (they have their own oyster farm)
- Metzger: From farm to fork in Fouesnant
- Baker: Stories of sweet treats in Mousterlin (Specialty: Breton far, Kouign an Man)
- Crêperie de Kervastard, Beg Meil
- Crêperie Au feu du bois, Quimper (man fängt am besten mit einem Crêpe Blé noir jambon fromage an)
- Restaurant de la Pointe, Cap Coz
- Restaurant La Villa Tri Men in Sainte Marine (€€€)
- The Transat in Bénodet
- An Atoll in Plomeur (lobster & chips), reservation required!
- For a beautiful view of the Odet River: l'Alambra in Bénodet, next to the minaret. The seafood platter is highly recommended.
- For an aperitif: Le Café de la Cale, Sainte Marine
Beaches Walks
- Our Mer Blanche, of course! Please note the tides; Kerler beach serves as an alternative at high tide.
- The pierced rock smells Conan's boots in Beg Meil
- Plage de Tronoen or La Torche (waves for surfers and bodyboarders)
- When you arrive in Kerborc'h, take a walk: turn left towards the sea, once you reach the sea, take the GR34 to the right until you reach the Cabane des oiseaux and back.
- Footpath along the coast between Beg Meil and Cap Coz (beautiful)
- From the marina in Benodet to the beach promenade on the Odet and along the coast
- Cycle from Kerborc'h along the coast to the weekly market in Benodet (every Monday)
And otherwise
- The Museum of Fine Arts in Quimper is so great!
- Musée des Arts Bretons, Quimper: to explore Breton culture
- Monday is market day in Bénodet: we eat oysters at Café Concept 8.
- Factory outlet at Armor Lux: Attention, located directly in the old factory by the train station (reduced items): Marine sweaters and tricots (sometimes up to 50% off)
- In our library (in the washroom) you can read the beautiful book: All the Light We Cannot See, by Antony Doerr, or the crime novels by Commissaire Dupin...
